Objectives
This website has been created by the Institut Balear d’Estudis en Arqueología Marítima (IBEAM), a non-profit organization, formed by underwater archaeology professionals, whose main objective is to protect the Balearic Islands Underwater Cultural Heritage through project research, conservation and dissemination.
Social Awareness
The SOS Heritage website is a tool that promotes conversation between the local community and the competent administration, making it easier to communicate casual underwater archaeological finds.
The final aim of this project is to create social awareness, among the citizens, about the need to protect and preserve our Underwater Cultural Heritage for future generations.
